Parking/Driveway Issues:

We have been asked by Alvin Police Department to try to redirect our traffic flow into and out of the park. If possible, when you come into the park, please use northbound highway 35 from Johnson Street, and exiting, use southbound onto highway 35, then around to FM 1462. There have been several wrecks at the intersection going to/from the Kroger parking lot. The state is trying to put a traffic signal there, but until it is, please use extreme caution and do your part to keep you, your family, and others, safe while entering and exiting Briscoe Park.

Melissa Harrell (a freshman and junior football mom) is making and selling mums for homecoming. Please see her if you would like to purchase one for your player/participant. Her website is http://sites.google.com/site/schoolspiritspecialties/. We will not be announcing all players this year for homecoming as TIFI has requested this not be done due to time constraints. We will still have a court, and announce only those on the senior team, drill team, and cheer squad that are in 6th grade or older.

Thank you so much so far to all the parents for their help with making the transition from Pearson to Briscoe a fairly smooth one. Debra Lopez and her crew have been diligently working to open our side of the concession stand. Hopefully it will be up and running this week!!! Please see her or your team mom for duties for both Briscoe and the stadium duties for games.

League Age is as of Sept 1st of the current year.*

Freshmen	7 Year olds* - 50 to 120 lbs.
	8 Year olds - 50 to 130 lbs.
Sophomore	9 Year olds - 50 to 140 lbs.
Junior	10 Year olds - 50 to 150 lbs.
Senior	11 Year olds - 50 to 160 lbs.
	12 Year olds - 50 to 160 lbs.

*7 year olds must turn 8 by March 31st of 2011
Weights under the minimum weight are ineligible
Weights over the maximum weight are ineligible
